Parasols - what types are there?
Depending on what needs they are designed for, there are various types of parasols. For example, a garden parasol, which is intended to provide shade for a seating area, must meet different criteria than a parasol that is intended for the gastronomy industry.
Very versatile is the cantilever parasol. The big advantage of such a cantilever parasol is the fact that the shaded area provides greater freedom of movement and, for example, there is no distracting post going through the center of the table when enjoying a meal under the parasol. In addition, these parasols look particularly exclusive and elegant, which is why they also visually enrich the garden or terrace.
Also in smaller commercial areas - for example in the case of street cafes with a few seats in the fresh air - cantilever parasols are a popular choice.
Anybody - for example, a restaurateur, or for an open-air event - that wishes to provide shade for larger areas, is best outfitted with a giant parasol. MAY’s giant parasols combine a high-quality execution with strong aluminum central-post and elegant contemporary design.
The post is centered below the parasol. Advantage: larger parasol surface of up to 10m diameter, in other words a side length 7m. The commercial parasols SCHATTELLO and ALBATROS can be equipped with additional accessories such as infrared heating, lighting (LED or fluorescent), side sheets, gutters and speakers, lengthening the season as they can be used as tents or cover for smokers. Host longer, more sales!
